The SMART Board MX 55" (model MX255-V5) is a powerful, purpose-built interactive display from SMART Technologies, designed to transform teaching and learning in every classroom. Featuring SMART's iQ 4 embedded computing platform running Android 15, the MX 55" is a complete classroom solution straight out of the box — no external computer required.

At its core is a crisp 4K Ultra HD LED display with a ≥50,000-hour lifespan and 300 cd/m² brightness. SMART's exclusive HyPr Touch™ technology with Advanced IR enables up to 50 simultaneous touch points, with Object Awareness™ and Silktouch™ ensuring that pens write, fingers move, and palms erase — with no interference between users. This makes the MX 55" ideal for true multi-user collaboration, where multiple students can work on the display simultaneously without disrupting each other's work.

The iQ 4 platform, powered by an octa-core processor with 8 GB DDR4 RAM and 64 GB of storage, provides a seamlessly connected, future-proofed experience. Quarterly OTA updates ensure the display stays current with the latest Android versions, features, and security patches — saving IT teams valuable time. NFC sign-in allows teachers and students to personalise their experience quickly through familiar Google and Microsoft workflows.

Connectivity is comprehensive, with Wi-Fi 6E (tri-band), Bluetooth 5.2, a front-facing 65W USB-C port, multiple HDMI and USB ports, and an integrated six-microphone array for clear audio capture. Two 15W integrated speakers round out the audio experience. SMART Mirror supports screen sharing via browser, dedicated app, Google Cast, AirPlay, and Miracast.

Included free of charge are SMART Notebook, SMART Ink, SMART Mirror, and a built-in digital whiteboard.
