The DS-QAPMCU128 uses 128 MEMS microphone elements to provide precise ceiling-mounted audio capture. It offers a 3m pickup radius for sound reinforcement and up to 5m for video conferencing, with eight configurable audio collection areas that can be adjusted and prioritised according to the room layout.

The microphone supports 48kHz/24-bit audio and integrated DSP processing including compression, delay, mixing, automatic level control, parametric EQ, noise gate and beam control. Intelligent noise-reduction algorithms help minimise transient background noise, while the microphone is designed to support local amplification and remote conferencing applications.

For networked AV systems, the DS-QAPMCU128 supports AES67, RTP and a range of IP protocols. Audio can be transmitted over its Gigabit Ethernet connection, with PoE providing both network audio and device power, simplifying installation. It also provides one analogue LINE IN and two LINE OUT connections for integration with conventional audio equipment.
